Key Objectives
Build a Complete Online Fabric Store: Create a brand-new e-commerce website from the ground up that brings the experience of Linen & Lace Cloth Co. online. The website needed to accommodate a growing selection of fabrics, sewing notions, quilting supplies, gifts, and other specialty products while remaining inviting and easy to shop.
Integrate Online and In-Store Inventory: Connect the new WordPress and WooCommerce website with the client’s existing Square system to create a more streamlined approach to managing products and inventory between the physical store and online shop.
Support Fabric-Specific Online Ordering: Develop custom functionality around the unique requirements of selling fabric online. Because fabric is sold differently from traditional retail products, the website needed to clearly communicate pricing and units of measure throughout the shopping experience.

Outcome
The completed Linen & Lace Cloth Co. website established a full e-commerce presence for a fabric and sewing retailer, giving the business a platform that can grow alongside both its physical store and online inventory.
A major focus of the project was developing an online shopping experience specifically around the way fabric is actually purchased. Custom half-yard pricing and unit-of-measure functionality helps customers understand exactly what they are ordering, while carrying those details through the cart and checkout process creates a clearer purchasing experience.
The Square integration also connects the website more closely with the client’s existing retail workflow, reducing the need to operate two completely separate product systems.
From an SEO perspective, the website was structured to create opportunities around searches related to online fabric stores, apparel and dress fabric, quilting fabric, sewing notions, quilting supplies, linen fabric, and sewing materials. As additional products and categories are added, the WooCommerce structure provides a scalable foundation for continued search visibility.
Overall, the project combined custom WordPress development, WooCommerce customization, Square integration, retail inventory organization, and specialized fabric-selling functionality into one cohesive online store.
