Key Objectives
- Expand and Support an Existing Website: Work within NHC Components’ established website and brand rather than replacing the original design, providing ongoing website development, content updates, troubleshooting, and improvements as the company’s needs evolve.
- Develop a Complete Careers Experience: Create a dedicated careers section that communicates the company’s culture and core values, presents current job opportunities professionally, and gives applicants a streamlined way to learn about positions and apply online.
- Extend the Brand Beyond the Website: Design supporting marketing materials, including company brochures, that maintain visual consistency between NHC Components’ digital presence and the materials used by its sales and customer-service teams.
- Support Continued Business Growth: Provide an ongoing design and website resource for a growing building-components manufacturer rather than treating the relationship as a one-time website project.

Outcome
The NHC Components project represents a different type of client relationship than a complete website build. The original website design was largely established when the project began, so the focus has been on improving, expanding, and supporting the digital presence over time.
One of the largest additions was the development of the company’s Careers experience. Rather than simply displaying a list of openings, the careers page introduces prospective employees to NHC’s workplace expectations and core values—Strive for Excellence, Lead by Example, Be Open and Accountable, and Elevate the Team—before presenting individual opportunities.
Each position can include detailed responsibilities, qualifications, benefits, and expectations, while the custom application system allows candidates to select a position, provide information about their experience and potential contribution to the team, and upload a résumé directly through the website. A general application option also gives NHC a way to hear from strong candidates even when their ideal position is not currently listed.
The work has also extended beyond the website into brochure and marketing-material design. This included organizing company information around the customer process—from consultation and quoting through ordering, production, and delivery—and translating that information into a polished print format that can support the sales process. The live website similarly walks customers through quoting, project confirmation, production, delivery confirmation, and final component delivery.
Ongoing website support helps NHC continue developing a digital presence that serves several audiences at once. Customers can research roof trusses, floor trusses, and laminated columns, understand the company’s process, locate dealers, request bids, and use tools such as the truss calculator, while prospective employees have a dedicated hiring experience.
Overall, this project demonstrates a long-term website and creative support partnership encompassing WordPress development, careers and recruitment functionality, online forms, content organization, brochure and print design, brand consistency, and continued website support as the client’s needs grow.
